Certainly, exhaust systems have always been the main course on the Officine Italiane Zard menu, but over the years the soul of the Italian designers from Piedmont has also clearly emerged in the design and production of special parts and accessories, designed to offer even more customisation possibilities to enthusiasts who want to go beyond the 'simple' exhaust system.

Custom look and retro feel: the accessories for Triumph and Ducati.

Among the first accessories launched by Officine Italiane Zard, some proposals dedicated to motorbikes perhaps more than any other find a place in the company's portfolio: the modern classics of Triumph and Ducati! For the English Bonneville/Scrambler range and the Italian Scrambler, Zard has thus created a range of saddles handmade in Italy, with a precious and sophisticated design, that change the look and ergonomics of the bikes on which they are fitted. To further customise the side view and better accommodate the new saddle, Zard has also designed special aluminium side panels for the Triumph Bonneville and Ducati Scrambler.

Café Racer in Bavarian sauce: Zard for BMW R nineT

Even in the BMW range there is a neoclassical motorbike that in the intentions of the Bavarian manufacturer has always been the perfect canvas for customisations and transformations of all kinds: we are obviously talking about the R nineT roadster, over the years declined by BMW itself in various and different versions - Racer, Scrambler, Pure... Officine Italiane Zard offers for each of these a wide choice of exhaust systems, with very distinctive and personal shapes and finishes, but for the original R nineT it has also designed a series of titanium and aluminium accessories that radically transform its design. Thanks to the titanium intake duct, welded using the snake technique by hand, the R nineT takes on the look of a real muscle bike, enhancing the exuberant character of its two-cylinder boxer and giving it a spectacular intake note for an even more involving roar. Completing the transformation is the aluminium front mudguard, with its tapered shape and exposed metal finish. Two handmade-to-order accessories with a unique style, which transform the R nineT into a true café racer.

Sporster made... sportier! The Zard design accessory line for Harley-Davidson Sportster S 1250.

Officine Italiane Zard's range of exhausts for the Harley-Davidson Sportster S 1250 was one of the biggest successes of 2022 for the Piedmont-based company, also thanks to the presence of the iconic carbon fibre heat shield designed by the Centro Stile Zard. Starting from the same stylistic language, the Italian designers have created a range of carbon fibre bodywork accessories that complete the muscle bike look of the Sportster S, enhancing its sportier, performance side. The side view is thus completed by the new left rear side panel, while new covers, each made in two parts, appear on either side of the radiator. But it's at the front where we see the most noticeable changes, with the new carbon-fibre fairing that frames the Sportster S's LED headlamp, provides better aerodynamic protection for the rider and at the same time gives the bike an overtly sporty appearance. More than just accessories, a true transformation kit.

More protection, better performance: Sabbia and impulso.

But Officine Italiane Zard's accessories are not only aimed at improving or customising the look of the bike they are intended for! During the 2022 edition of EICMA, Zard presented the new Sabbia collection, dedicated to the enduro-touring motorbikes. In this line, in addition to the innovative silencer, we find three engine guards, made of aeronautical aluminium alloy specifically for off-road use and designed to offer the best possible protection to the two-cylinder engines of the bikes they are intended for: Yamaha Ténéré 700, Ducati DesertX and Aprilia Tuareg 660. Also at EICMA 2022, Zard also previewed its first add-on module, impulso. This is a control unit that dialogues with the bike's original electronics, designed to be used in the presence of complete racing kits, which optimises engine operation in the presence of the Zard exhaust, thus offering smoother and more enjoyable performance. The first models for which the impulse will be presented will be the Triumph Street Triple 1200 RR/RS and the Ducati Panigale V2 - for which Zard has also created an extraordinary full racing fairing kit in composite material.
