What was the first Zard exhaust system for Triumph?

The first exhaust created by Officine Italiane Zard for a Triumph model was the innovative stainless steel conical model for the Speed Triple, in 2004. It was a racing exhaust, designed as part of the bike's preparation kit for participation in the Trofeo Speed, a one-make competition run at the time by Triumph Italia. The success of this exhaust soon went beyond the track gates, becoming a must-have for all fans of the British streetfighter. The shape of this iconic exhaust has never left Zard and Triumphs: duly revamped, it can still be found today in the lines of the exhaust for the Street Triple 765 or in the racing slip-on for the powerful Speed Triple 1200.

For the flagship of the family, the Speed Triple 1200 RR/RS, Officine Italiane Zard has created two distinct slip-on silencers, both made from titanium: a single exit racing model without homologation and the fantastic Euro 5 homologated model, consisting of two overlapping asymmetrical silencers completed by an aerodynamic carbon fibre heat shield. Both systems can be completed by the steel racing header kit, to create a complete kit able to unleash the full potential of the 1200 engine. Obviously Zard has not neglected the smallest of roadsters, the Speed Triple.
